Timco A2 Stainless Wafer Head Timber Screws are designed as a reliable alternative to traditional coach screws, offering strong structural fixing with a lower-profile finish.

Manufactured from A2 stainless steel, these screws provide dependable corrosion resistance for most outdoor applications, including decking, fencing, pergolas and general timber construction. They are suitable for external use where durability is required but full marine-grade performance is not necessary.

The wide wafer head increases clamping surface area while sitting flatter against the timber than a traditional hex head. This delivers a cleaner visual finish and reduces protrusion, making these screws ideal where appearance matters as well as strength.

A TX40 recess ensures secure driving with reduced cam-out, while the helix shank clears debris during insertion to improve pull-up and clamping performance. The sharp 25° point and single slash tip help minimise splitting, even when fixing close to edges.

In most softwoods, a pilot hole is not required. However, when working with dense hardwoods or fixing near edges, pre-drilling is recommended for controlled installation.
