Timco Exterior Green Wafer Head Timber Screws are designed as a practical alternative to traditional coach screws, delivering strong clamping performance with a neater, lower-profile finish.

Coated with a multi-layer exterior plating tested to withstand up to 1,000 hours salt spray resistance (BS EN 9227:2012), these screws are suitable for decking frames, fencing structures, sleeper projects and general landscaping applications. The green coating blends well with pressure-treated timber, providing both durability and a discreet finish.

The wide wafer head increases the clamping surface area while sitting flatter than a traditional hex head. This makes them ideal where a bulky head is not desirable but strong pull-up performance is still required.

A TX40 recess allows secure, controlled driving with reduced cam-out. The helix shank removes debris during installation to improve clamping efficiency, while the sharp 25° point and single slash tip help reduce splitting, even when fixing close to edges.

In most softwoods and treated timbers, a pilot hole is not required. For dense hardwoods or structural work near edges, pre-drilling is recommended.

For highly corrosive environments or when fixing into Green Oak, A4 stainless steel screws should be used instead.
