FAS Fire Door Intumescent Acrylic Sealant Foil – White – 600ml – Box of 20

FAS 600ml Fire Door Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is a premium-grade, polymer-based sealant designed for fire stopping applications. When exposed to fire, the intumescent material swells and helps prevent the passage of fire and smoke through joints and gaps.

The sealant provides 60 minutes of fire resistance and also offers smoke and acoustic performance. In addition, it has been acoustically tested to achieve 55dB Rw, making it suitable for applications where both fire protection and sound reduction are important.

It can be used on a range of common building materials, including masonry, plasterboard, softwood, hardwood and MDF. The flexible formulation helps accommodate slight movement, while the paintable finish allows the sealant to blend neatly with surrounding surfaces once cured.

For practical application, the white sealant forms a skin in approximately 15 minutes to 1 hour. It then reaches full cure in around 24 hours. Furthermore, it offers temperature resistance from -20°C to +60°C.

The 600ml foil format makes this product especially useful for professional and higher-volume applications. Each box contains 20 foils, and a compatible 600ml foil or sausage gun is required for use.

The product has been tested to BS EN 1634-1:2014 and BS 476 Parts 20 & 22:1987. Therefore, it should always be installed in line with the relevant tested system and application requirements.
