The TB Davies HDUTY-S Aluminium Professional Swingback Step – 8 Tread is a heavy-duty step ladder for professional and commercial use. Designed for demanding day-to-day work, it features a robust all-aluminium construction. In addition, wide treads and slip-resistant feet help provide comfortable and stable access.
The ladder features riveted 80mm deep treads, which provide comfortable footing while working. Meanwhile, hinged metal locking stays hold the steps securely in the open position for added stability. They also make the ladder easy to open and close when moving between jobs or storing it away.
An all-box-section design with heavy-duty bracing provides additional strength. Furthermore, reinforced rear legs help create a robust and stable structure. Slip-resistant feet provide firm footing on suitable surfaces. As a result, the HDUTY-S is ideal for maintenance, installation, construction and other professional applications.
The 8 tread model provides an approximate working height of 2.81m and a maximum step height of 1.06m. Its closed height is 1.90m. Finally, the ladder complies with EN131 Professional standards and comes with a 5-year warranty. Therefore, it offers a dependable solution for frequent trade and commercial use.

Delivery & Returns
All orders to the UK mainland are free of charge over £85 inc VAT. Orders under £85 inc VAT are charged at £9.95. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day, with delivery to most UK mainland addresses typically taking 1–2 working days.
Some products have a longer delivery lead time, such as 3–4 working days. Where this applies, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated on the individual product page. Orders may be dispatched from more than one location and items within the same order may therefore arrive separately. Please see our full Delivery & Returns Policy for further information.
Returns: Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears to be faulty. Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery issues with our couriers and suppliers, but does not affect your statutory rights.
For consumer change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the goods to us. Some products, including ladders, long-length building materials and other oversized goods, cannot normally be returned using standard postal services. For large, heavy or oversized goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate that return carriage may cost up to £75 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. The actual cost will depend on the size and weight of the goods, the collection location and the carrier or return service used.
