Description
The Timco Applique Drop Down Seal – 930 × 40 is a high-performance, surface-mounted seal designed for reliable protection against draughts, noise, smoke, and light.
When the door closes, the seal automatically drops to create a tight seal along the threshold. When the door opens, it retracts instantly — keeping the floor area clear and level, with no need for raised thresholds.
Built with galvanised steel flat springs and reinforced actuators, the Timco Applique Drop Down Seal is engineered for long-term durability. Its four-fin ‘V’ class 0 PVC rubber seal offers excellent acoustic and fire performance, with a maximum 14 mm drop.
This seal provides a cost-effective solution for meeting Document E and Document M of UK Building Regulations, supporting both acoustic insulation and accessibility requirements.
Tested to BS EN ISO 140-3: 1995, it achieves an acoustic rating of up to 37 dB Rw, and fire-tested to BS 476 Part 20/22: 1987 for 60 minutes, making it ideal for both commercial and domestic applications.
The Timco Applique Drop Down Seal – 930 × 40 is supplied ready to install, with screws and a bumper for flexible fitting on either the lock or non-lock side of timber doors.

All orders to the UK mainland are free of charge over £85 inc VAT. Orders under £85 inc VAT are charged at £9.95. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day, with delivery to most UK mainland addresses typically taking 1–2 working days.
Some products have a longer delivery lead time, such as 3–4 working days. Where this applies, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated on the individual product page. Returns: Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears to be faulty. Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery issues with our couriers and suppliers, but does not affect your statutory rights.
For consumer change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the goods to us. Some products, including ladders, long-length building materials and other oversized goods, cannot normally be returned using standard postal services. For large, heavy or oversized goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate that return carriage may cost up to £75 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. The actual cost will depend on the size and weight of the goods, the collection location and the carrier or return service used.
