Description
Heavy section self drilling screws zinc 38mm are designed for fast and secure fixing into steel without pre-drilling. The No.5 drill point cuts through steel up to 12mm, which helps speed up installation and maintain efficiency on site.
In addition, the fully threaded design provides consistent grip along the full length of the screw. The metric thread with V flutes and torque-reducing slash helps reduce resistance during installation. As a result, the screw drives smoothly and delivers a strong, controlled fixing.
Each screw also includes an EPDM washer. This helps form a seal at the fixing point and adds stability during installation. The bright zinc finish provides corrosion protection in clean, dry, and low humidity environments, making these screws suitable for internal applications or sheltered use.

Delivery & Returns
All orders to the UK mainland are free of charge over £85 inc VAT. Orders under £85 inc VAT are charged at £9.95. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day, with delivery to most UK mainland addresses typically taking 1–2 working days.
Some products have a longer delivery lead time, such as 3–4 working days. Where this applies, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated on the individual product page. Returns: Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears to be faulty. Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery issues with our couriers and suppliers, but does not affect your statutory rights.
For consumer change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the goods to us. Some products, including ladders, long-length building materials and other oversized goods, cannot normally be returned using standard postal services. For large, heavy or oversized goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate that return carriage may cost up to £75 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. The actual cost will depend on the size and weight of the goods, the collection location and the carrier or return service used.
