Description
Timco Solo 6.0mm x 220mm yellow woodscrews are an economic, single thread woodscrew designed to deliver consistent, reliable fixing across a wide range of common trade applications. They’re suitable for use in softwood, chipboard and other man-made boards, and can also be used for masonry fixing when installed with a suitable plastic wall plug.
The single thread design provides strong pull-out resistance in low density substrates, making these screws a practical choice for general fixing work. A double countersunk head helps reduce the risk of head shear while assisting smooth, flush countersinking into timber.
To improve driving performance, these 6.0mm x 220mm yellow woodscrews are wax lubricated, helping reduce insertion time and driving torque during installation. The 40° deep single thread delivers a secure hold, while the 25° sharp point and single lead allow for fast starts and improved thread acceptance.
All sizes up to and including 75mm are fully threaded, while lengths 80mm and above are partially threaded with a 70mm thread length, making them suitable for applications where greater draw-up is required.

Delivery & Returns
All orders to the UK mainland are free of charge over £85 inc VAT. Orders under £85 inc VAT are charged at £9.95. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day, with delivery to most UK mainland addresses typically taking 1–2 working days.
Some products have a longer delivery lead time, such as 3–4 working days. Where this applies, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated on the individual product page. Returns: Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears to be faulty. Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery issues with our couriers and suppliers, but does not affect your statutory rights.
For consumer change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the goods to us. Some products, including ladders, long-length building materials and other oversized goods, cannot normally be returned using standard postal services. For large, heavy or oversized goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate that return carriage may cost up to £75 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. The actual cost will depend on the size and weight of the goods, the collection location and the carrier or return service used.
