About First Fix Nail Standard Packs

These standard packs of FirmaHold clipped head first fix nails are supplied without gas and are suited to general framing and structural tia

About FirmaHold First Fix Nail Standard Packs

FirmaHold first fix nail standard packs provide smaller quantities of clipped head nails for framing, studwork and structural timber applications. They are a practical option for smaller projects or when you need a particular nail size without ordering a bulk box.

Supplied without fuel cells, these packs suit compatible battery-powered and pneumatic framing nailers. They also suit compatible gas-powered tools when you already have suitable fuel cells or purchase them separately.

First Fix Standard Packs at a Glance

  • Smaller pack quantities for individual jobs and general site use
  • Nails only – no fuel cells included
  • 34° paper-collated clipped head format
  • A choice of nail lengths, shank types and finishes
  • For compatible gas-powered, battery-powered and pneumatic framing nailers
  • Check individual listings for nail quantities and specifications

Which Nail Guns Take These Nails?

Timco’s compatibility guide lists models including the Paslode IM350 / IM350+, DeWalt DCN692, Milwaukee M18 FFN and Makita GN900SE for FirmaHold clipped head nails. However, accepted nail lengths and shank diameters vary between tools.

Check your exact model in our FirmaHold first fix nail gun compatibility table before ordering. Inclusion in the guide does not mean a nailer accepts every available nail size.

Check the nail type carefully. FirmaHold clipped head nails are not suitable for round head nailers such as the Paslode IM360Ci, or for 21° plastic-collated and 28° wire-collated nailers.

Designed for First Fix Timber Work

The clipped head design allows more nails per strip, helping reduce tool loading times. In addition, high-quality paper collation helps reduce nail jams, while the diamond point provides effective penetration into timber.

Typical applications include framing, studwork, roofing and timber construction. Select the nail dimensions and shank type according to the connection requirements, then check that your nailer accepts the specification.

Choosing Your First Fix Nail Standard Packs

What to Check Selection Guidance
Length & Diameter Match the fixing specification and your nailer’s accepted dimensions.
Shank Type Choose the plain, ring or part ring shank required for the connection, according to the available products.
Material & Finish Check the product’s intended use and service class against the timber and exposure conditions.
Pack Quantity Confirm the number of nails supplied, as quantities vary between products.
Fuel Requirements Fuel cells are not included. Compatible gas-powered nailers require suitable fuel purchased separately.

Choosing the Right Nail Finish

Bright nails suit dry internal applications where additional corrosion protection is not required. For coated or stainless steel nails, check each listing’s stated application and exposure suitability before selecting.

Do not assume every galvanised finish suits exposed outdoor work, or that A2 stainless steel is suitable for every coastal or highly corrosive environment. For structural connections, follow the project specification and check the individual product’s declared performance and conformity information.

Need Fuel Cells or Larger Packs?

If you use a compatible gas-powered nailer, browse our FirmaHold framing nailer fuel cells to buy gas separately. Battery-powered and pneumatic nailers do not require fuel cells.

For higher-volume work, explore our first fix nail bulk packs without gas. Alternatively, browse the full FirmaHold clipped head first fix nails range to compare pack options.

ber work. Designed for use in 34° cordless and pneumatic clipped head nailers, they are compatible with Paslode IM350 and similar tools.

Standard packs provide a practical quantity for smaller projects, maintenance work or where bulk volumes are not required.

Designed for Controlled Site Use

The clipped head format allows increased nail capacity per strip, helping reduce reload frequency during installation. Premium paper collation supports smooth feeding and helps minimise jamming in high-use conditions.

The diamond point tip ensures fast penetration into timber while maintaining consistent drive performance.

Available Finishes

Choose the correct finish for your environment:

  • Bright – Internal structural use
  • Galvanised / FirmaGalv – General external use
  • Stainless Steel – Corrosive or coastal environments

All nails are CE marked and manufactured in accordance with Eurocode 5 requirements.
