Description

The Teco EML Galvanised Sheet and Fixings – 2438 × 685mm (Box of 10) provides a strong mechanical key for plaster on walls and suspended ceilings. It supports plaster adhesion and helps reinforce surfaces where additional strength and stability are required.

Each box contains 10 sheets, 500 Special – Ultimate Screws – 4 × 40mm and 500 M6 × 30mm BZP penny washers for fixing to timber supports. This gives you the equivalent of 50 screws and 50 washers per sheet.

Expanded metal lathing also supports the encasement of steel columns and beams. Therefore, it can form part of specified fire protection and plaster build-up systems.

In addition, galvanised steel suits dry internal and protected, sheltered applications where moisture exposure remains limited. Each sheet measures 2438 × 685mm and covers approximately 1.67m² before allowing for overlaps.

Correct positioning, overlap and fixing remain essential during installation. Therefore, always follow the manufacturer’s guidance and the project specification.

Pack Contents

  • 10 × galvanised expanded metal lathing sheets – 2438 × 685mm
  • 500 × Special – Ultimate Screws – 4 × 40mm
  • 500 × BZP penny washers – M6 × 30mm

Installation Notes

First, fix sheets with the long edge spanning between supports. Ensure the mesh strands slope downwards and inwards from the plaster face.

Next, overlap sheets by 50mm lengthways and 25mm widthways.

For timber supports, fix using suitable screws and washers at 100mm centres. The pack includes screws and penny washers for this purpose. However, check the manufacturer’s guidance and project specification to confirm fixing quantities and suitability. Additional fixings may be required depending on the support layout.

Alternatively, fix to metal supports using compatible corrosion-resistant 1.2mm tying wire at 100mm centres. This pack does not include tying wire.

Finally, wear gloves during handling, as cut edges may be sharp.

Galvanised EML suits dry internal and protected, sheltered applications. Check that the supplied fixings are suitable for the installation environment. For exposed locations, persistent moisture, condensation or extended drying times, select stainless steel expanded metal lathing with suitable stainless steel fixings.

Delivery & Returns

All orders to the UK mainland are free of charge over £85 inc VAT. Orders under £85 inc VAT are charged at £9.95. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday on the same working day, with delivery to most UK mainland addresses typically taking 1–2 working days.

Some products have a longer delivery lead time, such as 3–4 working days. Where this applies, the expected delivery timeframe will be clearly stated on the individual product page. Orders may be dispatched from more than one location and items within the same order may therefore arrive separately. Please see our full Delivery & Returns Policy for further information.

Returns: Please inspect your goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us promptly if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears to be faulty. Prompt notification helps us investigate delivery issues with our couriers and suppliers, but does not affect your statutory rights.

For consumer change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the goods to us. Some products, including ladders, long-length building materials and other oversized goods, cannot normally be returned using standard postal services. For large, heavy or oversized goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate that return carriage may cost up to £75 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. The actual cost will depend on the size and weight of the goods, the collection location and the carrier or return service used.

Please contact us before returning any goods so that we can provide the correct return address and any applicable return instructions or authorisation requirements. Different provisions apply to business customers and to goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed. Please see our full Delivery & Returns Policy for full details.

Should you require any assistance, please email us at sales@fastfixingsonline.com, call us on 07920 120644, or complete our contact form. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
