Rib Lath Sheet and Fixings – Galvanised – 2500 x 600mm – Box of 10

The Teco Rib Lath Sheet and Fixings – Galvanised – 2500 × 600mm (Box of 10) provides a rigid plaster key for ceilings, partitions and walls. Longitudinal ribs stiffen each sheet and support the plaster finish. As a result, rib lath helps reinforce plaster and control cracking.

Each box contains 10 sheets, 500 Special – Ultimate Screws – 4 × 40mm and 500 M6 × 30mm BZP penny washers for fixing to timber supports. This gives you the equivalent of 50 screws and 50 washers per sheet.

In addition, each sheet measures 2500 × 600mm and features 8mm deep ribs for increased rigidity. Galvanised steel suits dry internal and protected, sheltered applications. However, the suitability of the complete pack, including the supplied fixings, should be checked against the installation environment and project specification.

Correct positioning, overlap and fixing remain essential during installation. Therefore, always follow the manufacturer’s guidance and the project specification.

Installation Notes

First, position the sheets with the rib tips against the supporting background. Run the ribs at right angles to the supports.

Next, overlap sheets by 50mm end-to-end and 25mm widthways. Overlap the edge ribs and tie them at 150mm centres.

For timber supports, fix at each rib using suitable screws and washers. The pack includes screws and penny washers for this purpose. However, check the manufacturer’s guidance and project specification to confirm fixing quantities and suitability.

Alternatively, fix to metal supports using compatible corrosion-resistant tying wire at each rib. This pack does not include tying wire.

Finally, wear gloves during handling, as cut edges are sharp.

Galvanised rib lath suits dry internal and protected, sheltered applications. For exposed environments, persistent damp or extended drying times, select stainless steel rib lath with suitable stainless steel fixings.
