What are floor protection boards used for?

Floor protection boards provide a temporary barrier between finished surfaces and the dirt, debris, spills and foot traffic generated during building or decorating work. They help reduce accidental damage and clean-up while allowing work to continue across protected areas.

Our range includes heavy-duty rolled floor protection, lightweight protection sheets and specialist stair protection, together with tapes and cutting accessories for installing Ram Board® systems.

Ram Board® heavy-duty floor protection

Ram Board® Heavy Duty Floor Protection is designed for demanding site use on hard floors and surfaces. Supplied in a 94cm x 32m roll, it provides approximately 30m² of coverage and combines several specialist features for site protection.

Antinox® recycled protection board

Antinox® Contractor Pack provides a lightweight alternative for protecting floors, walls and other suitable surfaces during site work. Supplied as 1m x 1m sheets in a pack covering approximately 50m², it is easy to transport, cut and position around different areas.

The recycled protection board is waterproof, impact resistant, flexible and reusable, making it a practical option for general construction, decorating and refurbishment work.

Protecting stairs during building and refurbishment

Ram Board® Stair Armor™ is designed specifically to protect the tread, riser and bullnose of stairs during fit-out and refurbishment work.

The reusable protection includes a reinforced bullnose guard and Spill Guard® technology, helping protect vulnerable stair areas against knocks, water, paint and site debris.

Ram Board® tapes and accessories

The range also includes accessories designed specifically for installing and securing Ram Board® floor protection.

Ram Board® Seam Tape joins adjacent sections of board with a strong contractor-grade adhesive and easy-to-tear kraft backing.

Ram Board® Vapor-Cure Tape® provides a breathable seam solution for curing surfaces, helping moisture escape through the protected floor system.

Ram Board® Edge Tape™ secures the edges of the protection board and is designed for clean removal for up to 90 days.

Ram Board® Multi-Cutter™ is designed for cutting Ram Board® while it is laid on the floor, using a guarded cutting system to help avoid damaging the protected surface underneath.

Floor protection boards vs protection films

Floor protection boards provide a more substantial protective layer and are a good choice for hard floors, busy work areas and projects where protection against foot traffic, spills and site debris is important.

Floor protection films provide lightweight, self-adhesive protection for compatible carpets, hard floors and glass. Because films are surface-specific, the correct type should always be selected for the surface underneath.

The 94cm x 32m Ram Board® Heavy Duty Floor Protection roll provides approximately 30m² of coverage.

How much area does the Antinox® Contractor Pack cover?
The pack contains 50 sheets measuring 1m x 1m, providing approximately 50m² of coverage.

Do I need special tape for Ram Board®?
The range includes dedicated Ram Board® Seam Tape, Vapor-Cure Tape® and Edge Tape™ for joining and securing the protection system. The appropriate tape depends on the application and surface conditions.
