Solo Woodscrews
Timco Solo woodscrews are a reliable choice for timber and general construction work. Designed with a deep single thread and sharp point, they drive quickly and deliver a secure hold in softwood and hardwood.
About Solo Yellow Woodscrews
Solo Yellow Woodscrews are a dependable single thread woodscrew designed for everyday timber fixing. They offer consistent performance across common trade applications and provide strong holding power in softwood, hardwood, chipboard and other man-made boards.
The yellow zinc plated finish offers light corrosion resistance for internal use, while the sharp point and deep thread help the screw start quickly and drive cleanly into timber.
Solo woodscrews can also be used for masonry fixing when installed with a suitable plastic wall plug.
Designed for General Fixing Applications
Solo woodscrews are designed for general site work where reliability and ease of installation matter. They are commonly used for:
- General timber-to-timber fixing
- Softwood and hardwood applications
- Chipboard, MDF and man-made boards
- Fixing into masonry when used with a wall plug
- Maintenance, joinery and second-fix work
The straightforward design makes them easy to use across a wide range of materials without unnecessary complexity.
Key Design Features
- Single thread design for strong pull-out resistance in timber
- Double countersunk head to reduce head shear and assist flush countersinking
- Wax lubrication to reduce driving torque and speed up installation
- 40° deep single thread for improved holding strength
- 25° sharp point for fast starts and clean thread engagement
All sizes up to and including 75mm are fully threaded. Screws 80mm and above are partially threaded with a 70mm thread length, helping pull materials tightly together when fixing thicker timber.
